For this, the molecular structure of polyethylene is changed by applying external heat, pressure and catalyst chemical additives. XLPE Natural (Cross Linked Polyethylene) used in weak current cables are also formed by a method sioplas.
It has a clased cell structure. It provides heat and moisture insulation. It is resistant to abrasion. Easy to apply thanks to its high flexibility and lightness. XLPE Natural (Cross Linked Polyethylene) is offen preferred in cable insulation.
It has high thermal resistance and is long-lasting. Its physical and electrical properties do not deteriorate in temperature changes. XLPE Natural (Cross Linked Polyethylene) maintains flexibility at low temperatures (-40 C). Dielectric losses are low in XLPE Natural, insulated cables. It has high resistance to chemicals. Water absorption is very low. It has high mechanical strenght. It has high continuous current carrying and short circuit resistance. It is environmentally friendly. It does not contain HCFC and harmful chemicals. It is not affected by environmental conditions.
